I have been a bad blog friend because when I'm not blogging reading other blogs makes me feel too guilty. But I miss all of you! I had ...

You two are adorable.
(Did I miss the origin of the baby envelope thing? So cute.)
That's a sweet exchange. I'm glad you did not scar her for life after all.
Being in the car with my kids driving on learners' permits scarred me more than them, I am sure, but I am easily scarred in that department. This post says to me that They still haven't fixed what is obviously a terrible traffic pattern on the way to Kanata. It also says to me that Kanata is not just a funky spelling of Canada. We have a lot of nutso traffic patterns here, and not enough public sentiment towards making them sane.
Darling! I went back and read the post from 2023, before I had discovered your amazing blog, and OMG how terrifying. I will tell you that my daughter is not the most confident driver, partially because she was in a couple of fender benders early on and we had to take her off of our insurance for a couple of years because it was going to be well over $1,000 a month, and then she didn’t bother to do anything that we asked for her to get back to driving, and the result was her not driving for maybe 4 years. Could have been 5. So, here she is, 30, and says completely reasonable things like, “May I please drive to San Francisco today, I will never get good at it until I have some experience” which I agree with but also scares me. So we did that one day a few months ago, and she got through the merging to get over on the busy freeway part that I hate even by myself, but then we were coming up on the toll booth to cross the bridge and I tell her she needs to slow down and she slows down to about 30 miles per hour and I had to say “NO YOU HAVE TO SLOW ***WAY*** DOWN, almost to a stop, and oh gosh, that was scary. Before the pandemic, you could stop and pay a toll with cash, and for many decades you HAD to stop and pay a person with cash, so that is how it was built. Somehow she did not know this. So she’s a pretty good driver, but there are these things that I don’t know she doesn’t know and they terrify me.
