Last week I had to go to my CPAP supplier to get the settings on my machine adjusted. It's in a small plaza about a half hour away. Sometimes I stop by the Food Basics after, and I've run into or eavesdropped on several interesting characters. I didn't need any groceries, so I got in the car and circled around to wait in the line to exit the parking lot. The light was red, and it was a long line, so I was there for a while.
A youngish guy walked out of the bank near the street, then clapped his hand to his head dramatically and turned around and ran back in.
I thought "oh my goodness, I didn't think people really did that to signal remembering something except in comics!"
And then I thought "Oh. I wonder if he just....." *guy exits bank again, putting on a baseball cap* "....forgot his hat."
Then he ran across four lanes of people entering and leaving the parking lot and almost got run over.
It was quite an eventful thirty seconds.

This post is perfection.
I wonder if he . . .
classic. So funny. The dude needs to slow down though. Isn't there a saying, here's you hat, what's your hurry? Maybe I'm making that up.
Ernie, are you a fan of 'It's a Wonderful Life'? I'm pretty sure that line was in that movie.
I like the guy coming out and clapping his head.
Intense indeed!
Oooh the possibilities of what could be happening to that guy!
Just the best! Like a cartoon character!
Ha ha. Little did that guy know how much entertainment he'd be providing for all of us!
Haha that is funny. I did have a mental image.
Haha, thanks for sharing this random - funny! - moment of your day! :)
