Something to be Said for Skipping Mondays...

So I hit the school library bright and early this morning, shelved some books, got some kids squared away, saw both my kids with their classes which for some reason they love, got Eve to straighten up the Goosebumps books because they're on a very low shelf and it hurts my back, got confirmation from the librarian that this was not, in fact, improper use of my child, went to the other library, returned some books, picked up some books, went to Farm Boy, got some groceries, was driving by a gas station and remembered that I was almost out of gas so got gas because Eve has dance tonight and last dance night we almost ran out of gas. Then I hit the drugstore where I didn't have a list but I was sure I remembered everything because I was ON FIRE today. Then I got home and realized I'd forgotten the saline stuff for my contacts which isn't actually saline any more because I wear hard contacts instead of soft contacts, but the fact remained that if I didn't have the whatever tonight I would have to leave my contacts dry or wear them for roughly twenty-four hours altogether, neither of which seemed a viable option. Then I checked not very hopefully under the sink and there it was! A brand new unopened bottle! The fortuitousness of it would make me dizzy except not, because the other great thing about today is, there's nothing like having a headache for five or six days to make simply not having a headache seem REALLY EXCITING.

(I'm in the process of switching medications. Apparently there can be some side effects. I can't recall the exact list at the moment but I'm going to venture a guess about inappropriate affect and hyper mania. And run-on sentences. I hope the FDA is on top of that.)

I don't know. Finding the thing at home that you went to the store for and forgot is PRETTY amazing.
I have had the joy of not having a headache after having a headache for what seemed like an eternity and it was heaven.

Wow, look at you go!

And I'm glad to hear that you don't have a headache. Not having a headache can only be good, in my experience.

As I was reading your post, I was getting more and more excited. It is so energizing to rush about and do all that you need to do without a million things going wrong. And having more "whatever it is"! Wonderful! Your meds must be very powerful indeed because I was having the symptoms of mania and hyper-activity...until I realised that I now how to go to the library, the bank, the grocery store etc. Ugh.

Oooh! Love a day like that. I had one Saturday. Without run-on sentences. Sentence fragments instead.

Finding an extra bottle of contact solution which results in you not having to go back to the store is a very good day indeed. Happy about headache free too.

I think it's called hyperactivity. :) Sometimes I miss my old brain. We had such potential to get so much done in so little time!

Let me know what that is. I could use some hypermania myself right now.

OMG, I am sooo bad for the gas thing! Mostly, I blame The Dad...he drives the mini van because he commutes & it's cheaper, but as soon as he's home, he wants to be seen in my big mean truck & drives it all over town...so in my head, I have JUST enough for that night's cheer run, as always, running out the door late, & jump in to discover I'm going on a wing & a prayer...since my older girl has to run laps if she's late, I start praying & hit up the gas on my way home! But last week, I pulled out, came to the stop sign, & stalled! Out of gas! Started it, backed it up 5 feet to the curb in front of my house, & my daughter & I jumped out & jumped in to the mini van & took off. When I came home, I sent DAD off with the gas can....it was his fault after all!

As for YOU, I hope you remembered to iron your cape at the end of the day! Gotta love being so productive! :-)

Haha! Love your suggestion for FDA side effects...wouldn't that be hilarious on a commercial as the rushed side effects warning...may cause...do not operatoe blogs while under the influence...xo
