Wordless Wednesday: Two Solitudes

This is the face of a boy who thought he was out of the play-offs after his team lost 2-1 to the first place team on Saturday, then found out they got to play one more game against the same team on Tuesday night and then beat said team 6-1 and therefore now advances to the division play-offs:

This is the face of his mother who just realized hockey isn't over for the year after all:

Coffee splurting funny, my friend. I really should know better than to sip and read, you know. Congrats to your big guy and his last gasp victory.

Strength, my friend! Surely hockey season will be at an end soon.

My cousin in Ottawa has two sons, both of whom are in hockey and lacrosse. And the end of hockey overlaps with the beginning of lacrosse. I get hives just thinking about that. It never ends.

I don't know how you do it! We're swimming and basketball people (minimal equipment costs!). Still, I'll always feel like I've denied him the rink experience. We do play a lot of street hockey.
