Day two

Eve does seem better today. Angus is sick now too, but just with a cold. So we're hunkered down with a whack of movies and Halloween candy. Eve won't eat anything, but she takes my pouring of fluids down her throat every ten minutes fairly good-naturedly.

When I started blogging, I didn't think it would be that hard to post every day. It seemed like at least once a day I had thoughts that were, while not precisely earth-shattering or profound, at least thoughts that I could write down and try to work something noteworthy out of. I'm not sure if those baby epiphanies stopped happening or if it's just that, in the cold light of blog, my musings on other people's books, my own dream-sweepings and the buttheadedness of the general population just aren't all that riveting. I didn't want it to be just a journal, although going slightly more that way might not be the worst thing. I would also like to add more pictures, which would be easier if my camera hadn't died and Matt didn't keep buggering off with the second-best one to Asia. Angus is tired of me stealing his.

I like the idea of Wordless Wednesdays or Amber's Mat Leave Monday, but I'm too chicken to give myself that deadline because OH MY GOD what if I MISS it??????? (Yeah, I also feel horribly guilty when I miss a day in the library even thought I'm an unpaid volunteer).

Anyway, I need to do more writing, and scrapbooking and piano playing and/or something... I feel like right now I'm mainly a consumer, walking around sucking things up that are made by other people (oh, I did make pumpkin apple muffins for book club). I should be able to let you know how it goes. Every day. In painful detail. For the next twenty-eight days. Lucky you.

You are one of the coolest bloggers I know, so I'm looking forward to reading your posts. At least, I am as of right now. I may be fickle, though, so no promises. ;)

Good luck and happy blogging!
